The pandemic has undoubtedly had a negative effect on the economy and individuals all across the country. In this virtual online workshop, textile designer, Cara Piazza, alongside co-hosts Lani Halliday, owner of Brutus Bakeshop in Brooklyn; ChaCha Yu, fashion designer & contestant in Project Runway (Season 16); Maricia Josephs, PR Manager of UGGS; and Amy Leverton, designer and author of DenimDudes showed participants how to use everyday household items to showcase proper fabric dyeing techniques on personal garments. Mess Magazine and Garage 22 were sponsors of the event. Starbright Floral Design, who was also a sponsor, provided our co-hosts with flowers to use during the virtual event.
