Born in France Julia Jentzsch grew up in Germany where she studied Fashion Design in Hamburg. She moved to London to work for John Galliano and later studied at the Royal College of Art to complete a MA in fashion design. Her final degree collection caught the attention of the British Vogue editor in chief who included her collection in the December issue. During a period of 15 years, Julia designed in leading international design houses side by side with designers such as Jil Sander in Hamburg, Alber Elbaz, Tom Ford and Stefano Pilati for Yves Saint Laurent in Paris and Calvin Klein in New York. Later she consulted for brands like Vera Wang and J. Mendel among other. Throughout this time her passion for a more mindful and environmentally conscious fashion industry grew and manifested in the launch of her own eponymous sustainable brand in 2007 with headquarters in NYC. Understanding the need to educate the new generation of fashion designers on environmental issues and sustainability Julia Jentzsch started a teaching assignment at Parsons the New School in 2022. Julia lives and works in New York City, Montauk and Berlin.
