Fall 2020 with Fashion Fights Cancer – Come Take a Look at What we’ve Been up to!

These past few months Fashion Fights Cancer has been lucky enough to host virtual events and collaborate with various designers, entrepreneurs, artists, and influencers. Our largest event was a virtual therapeutic master class with natural designer Cara Marie Piazza. Hosted at Starbright Floral Design in NYC, Cara Marie taught the participants how to dye silks and fabrics using simple household produce such as avocados and onion peels! Throughout the workshop we had the pleasure of getting to know our various hosts; high fashion designerKristi Vosbeck, editor-in-chief of Cancer Wellness Magazine Caylei Vogelzang, italian fashion designer Francesca Liberatore and artist Stan Squirewell. Learning about how each of these talented hosts battle through the pandemic, through their work and through time with friends and family, was an amazing experience.

We also had the pleasure of hosting a Live Instagram fundraiser event with Vivrelle founders Blake and Wayne and Edit the founder of It Mania part of Theca Digital Marketing & Consulting agency. Vivrelle is a first-of-its-kind membership club providing access to coveted designer handbags, jewelry, watches, and diamonds for a monthly membership fee. It Mania is an Instagram fashion and lifestyle Magazine, focused into bringin the latest fashion and lifestyle trends into the spotlight. IT Mania was founded in 2014 and has since gained the support of more than 370K followers. The founders of these two online platforms, discussed how they created such a unique idea through dedication to making luxury accessories fun, affordable, and sustainable, and also their charitable initiatives. 

Later in October, Fashion Fights Cancer hosted an Instagram Live Fundraiser event in which we had the opportunity to connect with Schon Magazine and It Mania through Instagram live. Schon Magazine is an English-language fashion magazine based in London. Their goal is to showcase a dynamic and diverse array of ideas and talent in art and fashion!

At Fashion Fights Cancer, we strive to the healing process of cancer patients/survivors by providing unique and authentic hands-on workshops. Due to COVID-19, we have not been able to host any in-person event. However,  we’ve been trying our best to provide the same experience online!
