New York, New York – October 2nd, 2024 – Fashion Fights Cancer (FFC) is proud to announce its Breast Cancer Awareness Month Online Auction, running from October 1st until the end of October 15th. Dedicated to harnessing the therapeutic power of fashion, FFC invites individuals and brands to contribute exclusive experiences, fashion items, or monetary gifts to support its mission of providing hope, healing, and empowerment to those affected by cancer.
Proceeds from the auction will directly fund FFC’s mental health therapeutic programs, offering vital emotional support and creative outlets to cancer patients and survivors. “We believe in the transformative power of fashion to uplift and heal,” said Ty Canty spokesman for Fashion Fights Cancer. “By Supporting this auction, you’re not only receiving valuable items and experiences—you’re offering hope and empowerment to individuals on their cancer journey.”
Fashion Fights Cancer has proudly collaborated with a prestigious list of future and past contributors, including Christian Siriano, Jason Wu, Nina Garcia, Rick Owens, IMG, Gagosian Gallery, Fern Mallis, Diane Von Furstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger, Ashley Longshore, Thom Browne, Marie Laffont, Ivy Brown Gallery, Penny Karabey Naeem Khan, Carrie Berk, Lisson Gallery, Luis Fernandez, Allora & Calzadilla and Patrick Cupid. This year’s auction presents a unique opportunity to support and touches countless lives, using fashion as a force for positive change.
Fashion brands, designers, and individuals can contribute exclusive experiences, fashion items, or monetary gifts to the Breast Cancer Awareness Online Auction. Donations will be featured on FFC’s auction platform, offering high visibility and engagement with a global audience.

Lisson Gallery is a contemporary art gallery that supports and promotes the work of international artists. Founded in 1967 by Nicholas Logsdail and Fiona Hildyard, the gallery has locations in London, New York, Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Beijing.
Bonnie Young is a renowned fashion designer known for her unique blend of Victorian and 1970s-inspired designs. After spending 16 years at Donna Karan, where she served as the creative director, she launched her own label, BY. Bonnie Young. Her collections are celebrated for their glamorous yet effortless style, catering to strong, independent women who are not afraid to express themselves. Young’s designs have been worn by celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Priyanka Chopra. She is also committed to using her talents for social causes, aligning her brand with various charities and missions.
Fashion Fights Cancer (FFC) has joined forces with Karen McDonald-Basile, founder of Wrapped in Love, to create a special edition pair of socks in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. These socks, available in two styles—ankle socks and over-the-calf socks—are designed to raise awareness and provide support for those affected by cancer.
TikTok Challenge: Call for Influencers to Join
In addition to the auction, FFC has launched the #SockWalkAwayChallenge on TikTok to promote its special edition socks created in collaboration with Karen McDonald-Basile, founder of Wrapped in Love. These socks, available in two styles—ankle socks and over-the-calf socks—are designed to raise awareness and provide support for those affected by cancer.
Challenge Description:
Scene: Start in a living room or any comfortable setting.
Characters: Two people (can be friends, partners, or family members).
- Actions:
- Person 1 (P1) is sitting on the couch, showing off their new FFC socks.
- Person 2 (P2) enters the room, notices the socks, and points at them with an impressed look.
- P1 stands up and starts walking away, showing off the socks with each step.
- P2 follows, trying to get a closer look at the socks.
- P1 turns around, playfully pulls P2 back, and they both show off their socks together.
- Closing: Both participants strike a fun pose, highlighting the socks.
Instructions for Influencers:
- Use the hashtag #SockWalkAwayChallenge.
- Tag FFC and any other relevant accounts.
- Encourage followers to participate and share their own versions.
- Add a catchy and trending sound to make the video more engaging.
Luis Fernandez is a versatile designer known for his work across multiple disciplines, including fashion, architecture, and interior design. He is the founder of the creative design agency luisfern5, which specializes in modern, minimalist, and futurist design.
Carrie Berk is an American writer, blogger, activist, and actress. With her mother Sheryl Berk, she has co-authored three children’s and young adult novel series: The Cupcake Club, Fashion Academy, and Ask Emma. Berk is also the author of a style website, Carrie’s Chronicles, and is an anti-bullying activist. She also stars in the Brat TV show Stage Fright. Berk is also known as a social media influencer, appearing in Season 3 of Next Influencer.

Terri Fraser is a multi-disciplinary artist known for her work in both oil painting and sculpture. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. Fraser’s art often explores the interrelationship between nature and humanity, reflecting the tensions and interactions between these worlds .Her pieces have been featured in over 50 shows, including solo, group, and juried exhibitions, and she has received several awards for her work. Fraser’s studio is located in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, where she draws inspiration from the natural surroundings.
