Fashion Fights Cancer’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month Online Auction
New York, New York – October 2nd, 2024 – Fashion Fights Cancer (FFC) is proud to announce its Breast Cancer Awareness Month Online Auction, running from October 1st until the end of October 15th. Dedicated to harnessing the therapeutic power of fashion, FFC invites individuals and brands to contribute exclusive experiences, fashion items, or monetary gifts to support its mission of providing hope, healing, and empowerment to those affected by cancer.
Proceeds from the auction will directly fund FFC’s mental health therapeutic programs, offering vital emotional support and creative outlets to cancer patients and survivors. “We believe in the transformative power of fashion to uplift and heal,” said Ty Canty spokesman for Fashion Fights Cancer. “By Supporting this auction, you’re not only receiving valuable items and experiences—you’re offering hope and empowerment to individuals on their cancer journey.”
Fashion Fights Cancer has proudly collaborated with a prestigious list of future and past contributors, including Christian Siriano, Jason Wu, Nina Garcia, Rick Owens, IMG, Gagosian Gallery, Fern Mallis, Diane Von Furstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger, Ashley Longshore, Thom Browne, Marie Laffont, Ivy Brown Gallery, Penny Karabey Naeem Khan, Carrie Berk, Lisson Gallery, Luis Fernandez, Allora & Calzadilla and Patrick Cupid. This year’s auction presents a unique opportunity to support and touches countless lives, using fashion as a force for positive change.

Bonnie Young is a renowned fashion designer known for her unique blend of Victorian and 1970s-inspired designs. After spending 16 years at Donna Karan, where she served as the creative director, she launched her own label, BY. Bonnie Young. Her collections are celebrated for their glamorous yet effortless style, catering to strong, independent women who are not afraid to express themselves. Young’s designs have been worn by celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Priyanka Chopra. She is also committed to using her talents for social causes, aligning her brand with various charities and missions.
Fashion Fights Cancer (FFC) has joined forces with Karen McDonald-Basile, founder of Wrapped in Love, to create a special edition pair of socks in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. These socks, available in two styles—ankle socks and over-the-calf socks—are designed to raise awareness and provide support for those affected by cancer.
In addition to the auction, FFC has launched the #SockWalkAwayChallenge on TikTok to promote its special edition socks created in collaboration with Karen McDonald-Basile, founder of Wrapped in Love. These socks, available in two styles—ankle socks and over-the-calf socks—are designed to raise awareness and provide support for those affected by cancer.

Berk is also known as a social media influencer, appearing in Season 3 of Next Influencer.
