Born in 1978 in Matale Sri Lanka, Indika begins studying Dramatic Arts in Education Center Maya Shakti Ski Lanka Colombo. Then he studied at the University of Visual and Performing Arts. Throughout his career, he participated in various exhibitions and festivals such as the exhibition “Nawa Kalakarowo” visual arts, exhibition of paintings and sculptures at Thilanka Hotel, exhibition “Constalation” exhibition of contemporary art young visual the Arts Gallery in Sri Lanka, and also gets the Award of Merit for creative art painting state and sculpture festival in Sri Lanka.

Here we have a self portrait painting of Indika Wijerathne. Exploring away from his vibrant colors, he created a piece that expressed a contemporary visual in black and white shadows.
